WAGONNET is a Georgian production company founded by acclaimed director, screenwriter, and producer George Ovashvili. For more than two decades, the company has worked across the international film industry. Its name is inspired by Ovashvili's debut short film, Wagonnet.
Projects developed with WAGONNET have been presented at leading international film festivals, including Berlin, Karlovy Vary, Locarno, Tokyo, Sarajevo, and many others. The company's productions have been shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, while Corn Island received the Crystal Globe, the top prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Over the years, WAGONNET has contributed to international co-productions and collaborative projects across Germany, France, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, and Türkiye, building long-standing relationships throughout the global film industry.
Today, WAGONNET continues to collaborate with internationally recognized production companies, including 42Film (Germany), Arizona Productions (France), Kino (Kazakhstan), and Pluto Film (Germany), developing and producing projects for audiences around the world.
